QBOL Assembly with Adam Taliaferro at Bellwood-Antis School District

Beating the Odds Foundation presented a Quarterbacks of Life® assembly for four hundred eighty-six (486) 5th – 9th-grade students of Bellwood-Antis School District.
Adam Taliaferro, former PSU football player, who serves as a Quarterback of Life® for Beating the Odds Foundation; and Rocco Scalzi, Founder and President of Beating the Odds Foundation spoke to the students about their own personal stories of overcoming adversity and how to apply the Stepping Stones to Success (motivational tools) to achieve their dreams. Students had a chance to ask Adam questions. The school was given a signed print of Miracle in the Making
This is the third year that these middle and high school students have been participating in the Quarterbacks of Life® Student Success and Leadership Program. A Quarterbacks of Life student leadership team is also in place at Bellwood-Antis Middle School. The leadership program is under the guidance of Principal Don Wagner, teachers Mrs. Susan Nycum and Mr. Rick Schreier, and guidance counselor, Mr. James Rumbarger. Adam met with the 20 student leaders prior to the assembly and signed autographs. The program is made possible through the Bellwood-Antis School District Foundation, Charles Caracciolo Steel & Metal Yard, Dan Himes Construction, DelGrosso Foods, Walmart, and U.S. Foods (Altoona Division).
